8 week course
Instructor: John G. Kruth, MS
This 8 week course from the Rhine Education Center may be taken as an adult education course or it may be applied towards a certificate program from the Rhine. It will consist of weekly class broadcasts on Tuesdays from 2:00pm - 4:00pm Eastern US Time, along with an interactive discussion forum where students can discuss class topics and intgeract with the course instructor.

Course Description
How do researchers study reports of ESP, PK, or the evidence for survival? Can this research be done using standard research protocols in a laboratory environment?
Scientific research takes many different forms, and parapsychologists use many different approaches when exploring phenomena like ESP, Mind-Matter Interaction, and the Survival Hypothesis. This course focuses on Quantitative research methods and how structured and controlled studies can be used to explore these phenomena.
Quantitative research typically takes placed in a laboratory environment and involves a great deal of preparation and design before any experiments are conducted. This 8-week course introduces students to formal experimental designs and research documents that are used to construct quantitative research projects.
Students will generate hypotheses, create a design to explore those hypotheses, document the design for review, modify the design as necessary, and create a formal research design document that can be used as a basis for grant proposals or experimental studies related to the field of parapsychology.
It is strongly recommended that students have taken the Research Methods course or have previous experience with research methodology.
When: Live broadcasts once a week or watch the class recordings at your convenience.
Where: This is an ONLINE COURSE, so you can participate anywhere you have an internet connection.
Tuition: $235 ($210 for Rhine members or students enrolled in a degree program.)
