Introduction to Parapsychology

This 8 week course from the Rhine Education Center may be taken as an adult education course or it may be applied towards a certificate program from the Rhine. It will consist of weekly class broadcasts on Mondays from 8:30pm - 10:00pm Eastern US Time, along with an interactive discussion forum where students can discuss class topics and interact with the course instructor.

If you cannot attend the live class broadcasts, you can watch the recordings of the classes when it is most convenient for you. Many successful students have attended courses by watching the class recordings.

BrainColorsThis unique eight week course will be broadcast live on Monday evenings, but many students choose to watch the recordings of the classes if they cannot attend them live.

In this course students will be introduced to the topics that are studied by professional parapsychologists. Topics will include an overview of the phenomena (Telepathy, Clairvoyance, Precognition, Psychokinesis, and Survival Issues), history, research methodologies and researchers that make up the vibrant field of scientific parapsychology. The course textbook is Introduction to Parapsychology, 5th edition by Harvey Irwin and Carline Watt. Besides the weekly class broadcasts, there is an online discussion forum for students to share their ideas, answer questions about the lectures, and communicate with the instructors.

Students who choose to be graded in this course will receive letter grades based on their participation in the weekly discussion forums, and their scores on two multiple choice/short answer essay tests given in weeks 4 and week 8. Students who complete this course with a passing grade will receive a certificate of completion from the Rhine Education Center.

Session I:   Mondays, June 11th - July 2nd;  One class per week.
Session II:   Mondays, July 23rd - August 13th; One class per week
Time:  Monday; 8:30pm – 10:00pm Eastern Time; or watch the recorded classes anytime.
Where: Online Course available anywhere you have an internet connection.
Prerequisites: None required.
Tuition:  $225 ($199 for Rhine members or students enrolled in a degree program)

This course will be broadcast each Monday from 8:30pm to 10:00pm Eastern Time.  If you cannot attend the live broadcast, you can view a recorded version of these classes at your convenience.  Information on viewing these classes will be provided before the class begins.  Course days and times are subject to change.
